Dr. Zachary T. Jones
Dr. Jones received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2008. Dr. Jones completed training in the areas of Specialty Contact Lens, Pediatric Optometry, Ocular Disease, Orthokeratology, and Myopia Control. Dr. Jones previously practiced at Carmine Vision Care in downtown Lansing, IL with his childhood optometrist Dr. Terry Carmine where he learned to provide a high level of customized patient care. Dr. Jones is a member of the Northwest Indiana Society of the Indiana Optometric Association. He also is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Illinois Optometric Association.
Dr. Jones lives with his wife, a retired teacher and now an integral part of South Shore Eye Care, their young daughters Addison, Olivia, and Lucy. Dr. Jones and his wife Holly are both lifelong Munster residents and could not be happier to provide their custom eye care to their hometown. When not spending family time together, Dr. Jones and his wife enjoy art and design, home renovation, landscape design, and live music.

Holly, a lifelong resident of Munster, has devoted over a decade to educating elementary students within the Lake Central School Corporation. Holly brings her passion for children to the office as she calms fears of little ones coming into the office. She enjoys hand-selecting the frame lines we carry to suit all of our patients’ individual styles. When not in the office, Holly enjoys spending time with her three daughters Addison, Olivia, and Lucy, traveling, volunteering in her community, and home renovation.
Kathy brings a wealth of fifteen years of lead technician manager experience from her nineteen-year tenure at Walgreens, showcasing a strong foundation in customer service and a deep understanding of patient needs. Her lively sense of style is evident as she assists each patient in finding the perfect frame, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience that leaves a lasting impression. Kathy also specializes in helping patients understand their insurance plan benefits, making the process smoother and more accessible.
Kathy is a proud graduate of Munster High School, she currently resides in the area, where she is dedicated to raising her two young daughters alongside her husband. Outside of her professional life, Kathy values spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys shopping, reflected in her choice of frames that always complement her style.
Karen brings twenty-three years of optical experience to South Shore Eye Care. Her primary focus in the office is to ensure that every patient feels welcomed and receives the personalized care they deserve during their visit. With her expertise, she excels in providing warm and welcoming clinical care.
A key aspect of her role involves ensuring that each patient's glasses fit perfectly. Karen takes pride in her optician skills and making any necessary adjustments/repairs to enhance comfort and functionality. The joy she sees on her patients' faces, especially in children who are thrilled with their improved vision, is particularly fulfilling for her.
Outside of her patient care duties, Karen values her time spent with family and friends, as well as her three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys cycling with her husband and friends, hiking, and gardening.
Hannah provides an exceptional level of care when pretesting patients, ensuring that each individual feels comfortable and receives the personal attention they truly deserve. With her keen eye for style and design, she genuinely enjoys helping patients select new frames that not only complement their unique features but also enhance their individual personalities. Outside of the office, Hannah loves to spend her time relaxing at the picturesque lake in Michigan or enjoying quality moments filled with laughter and fun with her kids.
Russell has been a valuable addition to our dedicated team, bringing with him a decade of optical experience that enhances our practice. He holds certifications from both the American Board of Opticianry (ABOC) and the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) in eyeglasses and contact lenses, which ensures that our patients receive the highest standard of care available. Russell takes great pleasure in helping patients find the perfect eyewear to suit their individual style, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to their satisfaction and overall well-being. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our practice and the lives of our patients. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Russell enjoys watching movies, spending quality time with his beloved dogs, and cherishing special moments with his family and friends, which enrich his life beyond work.
Madeline, currently a student, balances her education with her commitment to helping others see and look their best. With her passion for providing an exceptional experience, she excels in pretesting patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. Madeline has a keen interest in fashion, which she leverages to assist patients in selecting frames that truly reflect their unique style. Her enthusiasm for eye care and understanding of individual fashion preferences make her a valuable addition to our practice, enhancing the overall patient experience at South Shore Eye Care.
